Hair Mineral Analysis
Hair Mineral Analysis is a solid method that can provide a complete picture of important internal physiological processes at the cellular level.
Hair, like any other body tissue, contains minerals that are stored inside. Although hair appears to be dead tissue, the minerals remain as the hair grows. A hair sample that is cut close to the scalp provides information about your mineral balance of the past 3 months, depending on the growth rate of the hair.
A hair mineral analysis is a screening of 20 minerals and toxic metals in the hair. It is an analysis that is non-invasive, relatively inexpensive and very accurate. By using this “mineral blueprint” of the body’s internal physiological processes, a very clear insight can be obtained into metabolic processes, energy levels in the cells, sugar and carbohydrate intolerance, the degree of stress, the immune system and the activity of the adrenal glands. The analysis is therefore used to simplify the advice for the right intervention with nutritional supplements and/or dietary adjustments.
The hair mineral analysis is considered the standard test used worldwide for biological monitoring of trace elements, minerals and heavy metals in humans and animals. This analysis is also used in the determination of minerals in rocks and soil.
The hair mineral analysis we offer is of exceptionally high quality.
We use one of the laboratories that does not chemically wash the hair samples for the analysis. Experience shows that this washes away elements in and from the hair. This results in inaccurate results. A publication about this was published in JAMA in 2001. The two laboratories that did not chemically wash the hair samples showed the best results in the comparative test.
Our laboratory uses quality procedures. These include the use of controls at the start, during the analysis and at the end of the analysis. The laboratory carries out a second analysis of the hair sample if analysis results are obtained that are not expected, and values are found that are far outside the normal range. It is therefore important that sufficient material is sent.
The results are displayed in easy-to-read overviews. This offers us great user convenience. The overview contains the mineral quantities, important ratios and the oxidation rate, or the combustion rate.
